Can I use a modified vector image as part of a logo?

I read the terms and some forum posts and I understand that a stock image should not be used as a logo. But I want to get a little bit clearer on this.

I have licensed File #: 80923639 for use as an icon/small graphic on a website. I decided that the color didn't suit our needs and I modified it so it would be used on the website like this:

      W3-Single-Leaf---Plum.pngW3-Single-Leaf---Violet.png

What I would like to know is, can I use these now modified images as an accent on an existing logo to tie everything in, or do I need to create my own leaf graphics for this purpose?

      Thank you!
