    Bulleted/unordered lists

    Lindie Metz

I have bulleted lists converting to unordered list in the book I am working on. Everything is working great, except that the first bullet in the list views asif there is a space before on, but there isn't. This is regardless of the style used before the bulleted list, and only on the very first bullet in the list.

I have checked the CSS (I am traditionally a print designer so learning) but can see nothing that shouldn't be there, also checked the code. Any advice on how to find the source of the space and then remove it?

      Thanks!

      Lindie

What version of InDesign? What devices/readers are you testing in?

            Hi Bob.

I'm on ID CC, testing on my Mac with iBooks and ADE, and on the iPad on iBooks and BlueFire.

Can you post a bit of the HTML and the corresponding CSS? Have you checked for space after on the paragraph before the list?

How about the CSS for the ul?

ID didn't create a CSS for the ul. I'm guessing from your question that this would be a best practice and something I would need to do after exporting from ID?

Something like ul{ margin-top: 0 } could be appended to the CSS.

                        Thank you! Worked perfectly.
