As you already seem to know, it's a Windows OS file association issue, not an InDesign problem, so you may have to explain in more detail what happens when you attempt to fix the file association. When and how does Windows disallow it?
You're right, it's a Windows problem but I don't know if it is a common issue... Windows doesn´t me allow to choose the InDesign.exe file as an opener to the .indd files... It doen't appear between the programs and if I browse till I find the InDesign.exe file and I manually choose it, it doesn't work...

Uninstall InDesign CC and then reinstall it. That should force the operating system to associate INDD files with it.
