          Hi,

When I try to highlight text it become total darkness of the highlighted text.

Would you provide more details about your problem?  Do you mean that the color of highlight is black?

Can you try the following steps?

          1. Tap the highlighted text.
          2. Select "Color..." from the context menu that pops up.
          3. Select a color (e.g. yellow, red, blue).

          Does the highlight color change?

Does the problem happen with any PDF documents or just the particular PDF document?

If you can share your PDF document that exhibits the problem with us (Adobe), we can investigate the cause of the problem.

I've sent you a forum private message with the instructions on how to share a PDF file with us.

          Thank you!

            Hi,

We received your PDF document via email.  Thank you!

I opened the PDF document in the desktop version of Acrobat Reader and confirmed that your Highlight color is set to black and Opacity is set to 100%.

I suspect that you accidentally set the Highlight color to black in Acrobat Reader for iOS on your iPad Air.  (The default color is yellow.)

            To change the Highlight color

            1. Open your PDF document in Acrobat Reader for iOS.
            2. Tap the black Highlight in the document.
            3. Select "Color..." from the context menu that pops up.

            4. Tap the color you'd like in the color palette.
              HighlightColor2.jpg

It may be hard to see because of the background color of your PDF document.  But you can see that the highlight color has changed and the highlighted text is legible now.

Optionally, you can change its opacity by selecting "Opacity..." at Step 3 above.

Acrobat Reader will remember your choice of Highlight color next time.

            Hope this helps.
