Convert presets made in cc2014 above back to CS6

Is there a way to change or convert a preset made in cc2014 so that I can use it in CS6?

This is mostly relevant for some text presets I've made, using properties that are accessible in CS6 so I know it technically should work.

      Any info is appreciated

          1. Create a new project in CC 2014
          2. Create a new comp in the project
          3. Create a new layer for each preset you want to convert
          4. Name the layers appropriately so you can easily find the presets
          5. Apply each preset you want to convert to one of the layers
          6. Do a Save AS and convert the CC 2014 file to A CC version
          7. Open the CC version in CC
          8. Do a save as from CC to CS6
          9. Open the CS6 project
          10. For each layer with a preset applied find all of properties modified by the preset and select them
          11. Save a new preset
          12. Test the preset in a new comp to make sure that everything works

That's how you do it. There is no other way that I know of. That's why I keep at least 3 versions of AE on all of my production machines. Unless I'm using a feature only available in the latest version I always write my presets in the oldest version of AE I have installed.

Great Rick, thanks for the advice. I hadn't considered just working back through the updates but that makes sense, cheers!
