How can you monitor which computers have active CC Licenses?

    peter_welch Level 1

I have several Mac computers both at work and home including several laptops. Is there a way to confirm which computers have active CC Licenses (as you can only have two live at any time). An example of a way to easily manage your account would be Microsoft 365 where it clearly states in your user profile which computers "by computer name" are active. This is a really simple way on managing your license and if you leave say your office and havent signed out of CC then you wouldn't be able tyo activate your license on another computer to continue working...which in my opinion is surely the reason for being cloud based in the first place?

      Thanks in advance

      Pete

          Hi,

For CC Team Named Licensing :

You can open the Adobe Creative Cloud and click on the ""Settings"" icon at the top right and click on ""Preferences"" in the drop down.

You will be able to see the Adobe ID (Email) with which you are signed in and have activated the products.

If you have activated the CC products with that same Adobe ID (Email) on 2 computer already and try to activate it on a 3rd computer without signing out of any of the first 2 computers, you will get a prompt on the 3rd computer of activation count reached.

For CC Team Device Licensing :

You can login to the (http://adobe.com) with the CC Team Admin Adobe ID (Email) and click on ""Manage Team"" and that will take you to the CC Team admin console.

Click on ""Device Licenses"" in the left and then, click on the "">"" at the extreme right and that will show the list of computers with the computer names on which the device licenses are activated.

          Thank you.

Thank you however nowhere on my Manage Team page does it offer the option of Device Licenses, instead just:

            All Licenses

            Active Users

            Pending Users

            Unassigned Licesnes

So, that means you have purchased CC Team for Named User Licenses and NOT Device Licenses. So, you will have to follow the steps for CC Team Named Licensing:

For CC Team Named Licensing :

You can open the Adobe Creative Cloud and click on the ""Settings"" icon at the top right and click on ""Preferences"" in the drop down.

You will be able to see the Adobe ID (Email) with which you are signed in and have activated the products.

If you have activated the CC products with that same Adobe ID (Email) on 2 computer already and try to activate it on a 3rd computer without signing out of any of the first 2 computers, you will get a prompt on the 3rd computer of activation count reached.

Well this seems complete counter intuitive for ANY user in this day and age. This sure defeats the entire purpose of being cloud based? If Adobe really think that in todays worlsd of people working 16 hours a day between several locations in different time zones to remember before leaving the office to de-activate a license they are living on cloud 9.....pardon the pun.

Why can't you manage which computers are active from your account online and re-activate / de-activate any license on any machine.....? This is one thing Microsoft have got right for their users. This is a professional and expensive piece of software so Abode would do themselves a favour and treat their customers with some intelligence.

Can you forward this to your senior managers for it to be considered?

In the same boat. As if you can't see who is using the licences if you are an administrator. Adobe, sort this out, you're sucking miserably.
