Hello, could you please share the code that you're using on your trigger?
I just understood your issue. You want to jump a stop action.
I am building a demo file.
Here is a demo file ==> playingVideoTimeline.zip - Box
The main issue is to jump a stop action.
You will jump a trigger stop with: sym.play(timelinePosition, false);
My demo uses: sym.play(sym.getPosition(), false).
- where is my playhead ==> sym.getPosition(),
- i don't want to execute the trigger code ==> false
Hi Joel, in this sample you post, can i create a button to rewind the movie to the points that pause before?
Thanks for help!!
Hi Joel, thanks for reply. In fact, a need a button to replay the video step by step and in such cases, replay to a specifc moment of the video (defined by a label, for example). I will see with i send you my file another moment (i'm not in my desk right now)
thank you again,
Here is an attempt ==> play playReverse Video.zip - Box
- The play button:
sym.$("movie").playbackRate = 1;
- The reverse button:
sym.$("movie").playbackRate = -1; // you can try -0.5 or -0.25;
The main timeline has stop actions.
Thank you Joel, i'll try this.
Sorry for just getting back to this. I tried your technique and it works. One issue I have is that for some reason, when I preview it in the browser the stop points don't stop correctly at my specified points in the timeline. If I look at it on Edge it looks fine, but on the browser it looks like it stops a frame or two before or after at stop points, any idea why? I have set the video to preload already.
