I bought Lightroom 5 about a week before the Creative Cloud started. I never joined because I only wanted Lightroom and I'd already bought it. I have never ever had an update successfully download. I can download any update for any other software but not for LR. I always get an error message that the download failed. Do I have a gun to my head and I have to subscribe to CC just to update software I've already bought? Or does anyone know any other reason why I've never managed to get an update?
It really really sucks that I can't get customer support from the people who sold me the software.

No this didn't help. The links lead to the Adobe download pages which give me instructions as to what to do to the update after I download it. But...... I can't download it.
