Which operating system : windows or mac?
If possible, share a screenshot of the error message.

Clicking [Open] on the Creative Cloud App window does nothing- No waiting cursor, no error message- absolutely no obvious reaction to the [Open] click.
Lr will open successfully if I click the icon pinned to my task bar (Windows-10)!
Seems to be a different issue as torunb is getting error while launching Lightroom.
Would suggest you to sign out and sign in back to the Creative Cloud application and then, check again.
I have tried, and it doesn't work. I work on Mac, but the error message is in swedish so I don't think it would be of very much help. It just said taht it can't be sure that my version of OS X works with Lightroom - but I have never had any problems before. I have worked in Lightroom for almost two years without any problem.
You can share the error message even if it is in swedish.
It would be helpful to know the exact cause.
Which version of Mac do you have?

Updated CC App, Signed out and signed in- problem solved. Now Lr opening as expected.
