After Effects Froze while stabilizing shaky video footage. How do I exit the Application without losing my work?

While using After Effects on my MAC, the application froze while stabilizing shaky video footage. An error window popped up labeled, (5027 :: 3), and read, "Unable to allocate 0.002 MB of memory. Either decrease the memory requirements for rendering this frame, or install more RAM."

I looked through all of the troubleshooting options on the Contact Customer Care page but none of the support options given could help. One recommended that I change preferences through the library in finder but didn't tell me what to change in the preference files, so I just left them untouched.

Please help! I don't mind not stabilizing the shaky footage, but first I need to get the error box to go away somehow. What should I do?
