    PopUpManager

      Hi

      I use the below code to display a popup while reading and writing of file is performed.

      But the popup does not appear eventhough the file read and written is big and takes more time for it. Only the wait cursor of the system appears while performing this r/w process.

      I am using Adobe AIR.

      Please help.

      var save:popWin=PopWin(PopupManager.CreatePopup(this,popWin,true);
      var fb:ByteArray=new ByteArray();
      var fst:FileStream=new FileStream();
      fst.open(new File(path),FileMode.READ);
      fst.readBytes(fb);
      var en:Base64Encoder=new Base64Encoder();
      en.encodeBytes(fb);
      var encStr:String=en.drain();
      fst.close();
      var f:File=new File (writePath);
      var fs:FileStream=new FileStream();
      fs.open(f,FileMode.WRITE);
      fs.close();
      PopUpManager.removePopup(save);

          Are you importing PopUpManager package? If you are not then do so then get the popup working first before you dive into heavy stuff. Have a button trigger the popup window to make sure it is working. Debugging in every step is your best bet.

          Thanks.
