Yes, please try and remove the app from the iPad ,reboot the device and reinstall it.

Could you send out a Lr Mobile Desktop diagnostig log.
The Lr Mobile app log can be triggered when you open up the settings and long press the top left LR Icon a diagnostic log will be generated and attached to your local mail client. To solve your problem it seems to me a force quit of the Lr Mobile app would help. Double tab device home button and drag Lr Mobile out of the list and restart afterwards
About the diagnostic log - I did the long press - it said it was generating a diagnostiic log but nothing happened. I will try deleting the app and then reloading it to see if that works.
