There are some posts about remoting at flexDiary.blogspot.com, some of which
link to other posts on other blogs.
First, what is your preferred server language. That limits the field rather dramatically. Using a language that you are not comfortable with will compound your problems. As for me, BlazeDS (Java) is pretty good. Any way you go, my experience has been that it works great and makes your life a lot easier. Well worth the time you will spend figuring it out and getting it working.
If you know a little PHP I'd highly recommend AMFPHP. I've built very robust apps with AMFPHP and Flex 3.
I'm tempted to go down the AMFPHP route from what I have seen so far.
Is it still being developed and supported?
Where does Zend fit in with all this?
