Tagged PDF increases only such an amount of size, if you work without Paragraph and Character Styles. In my opinion it should always be enabled as PDFs without tagging take much longer in the new Acrobat DC.
In my documents I had never such an increase of file size, but I work complete with styles and edit the Tag Entry in any style.
Do you use the correct language in your paragraph style (and the other styles too)?
Tagged PDFs can of course used for print. It is always better to use it.
Is there a reason why you use PDF1.3?
If this is a print PDF, why do you not export to a PDF/x, best x-4 standard?
Yes, this setting is provided by the cliente.
Even if we use PDF/X4, the words are changing if we copy from PDF to word. It clears only if we enable the tagged PDF option.
My concern is if we enable the tagged PDF in PDF 1.3 version, then the PDF size is increased a lot. (e.g., 8 MB changed to 32 MB)
But if we enable the tagged PDF in PDF 1.4 or higher, then there is no much difference in PDF size (e.g., 1.4 MB changed to 2.4 MB only)
Is there any reason why this much difference in PDF file size in PDF 1.3 version?
