I have 3 ITF's one each embedded with DINOT, Arial OT and Helvetica CE (TT) with every Character Range box checked, with "Also include these characters:" żźśóńłęćą.
I know these fonts support those glyphs, note they are displayed properly on this post (Arial), for one example...
At runtime, my SWF displays (FP17) this mess in the text fields when the characters " żźśóńłęćą" are entered:
Does anyone know why the character glyphs would not display properly in Flash, but do everywhere else?
It looks like none of my ITF's were using Arial, I did get Arial to work, but this does not explain why Helvetica and Verdana do not work, in the Flash runtime... both are Open Text, support the glyphs elsewhere.
I am sure there must be an obvious explanation that I am overlooking.
I have no idea what an ITF or a DINOT is supposed to be, but it's possible you don't have the necessary font variations embedded. Bold, italic, and bold-italic must all be embedded separately.
Also it sounds like you're using way too many fonts on one page. Typography rules generally recommend using no more than three different fonts in a single layout.
