Creative cloud is by default launch at startup as it is designed to do so. However the crash report you are getting can be due to the application issue.
Please try uninstalling and reinstalling creative cloud desktop app to fix this issue.

I actually went into preferences in cc and set it to not launch on startup, but it still does?
I know there was a recent update to the Creative Cloud app that fixed an issue like this. I'd definitely recommend trying an uninstall/reinstall with the latest version.
