Which PE and OS are you using
which file folder are you revering to?
Video as in timeline or ....?
Also, can you describe the steps you're taking to add a photo to your project?
There is no way that importing a photo into a Premiere Elements project using Add Media/From Files and Folders will duplicate a photo.
It's PE 14 (newest) and I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium with 64 bit OS. File folder is image edited from Lightroom 4.4 and on flashdrive. Does that help?
I watched the training video and followed each step. It's definitely NOT the same.
I'm in expert mode and clicked on Project Assets, right clicked on blank frame which brings me to "Get Media From" and chose "Files & Folders". I then clicked on images I want and hit enter.
It then give me the warning "You're trying to import a file from a DVD or Removable Media..... Then click on "Image Importer" and it brings up a window (NOT shown on training video) at top it states "Adobe Premiere Elements - Photo Downloader" - Source get photo from: clicked on L:\<Camera or Card Reader> (USB with image). As soon as I enter that it starts running through all my photos on the entire stick and duplicates them.
I'm SO frustrated as these steps are not on the training video. What is going on????? Appreciate your guidance!
Well, for what it's worth, this is the way every video editor in the world works.
You can't import media from a removable disc or drive. Otherwise, when you remove the disc or drive (or camcorder) the media is no longer available.
You must copy the photo, video or audio file to your hard drive so that it will be available as you're editing.
