An InDesign CS6 (Mac 8.0.1) file I've created has hyperlinks. I export the file to PDF, but when I open the pdf in Acrobat Pro 10.1.6, some characters in the URLs in the hyperlinks have changed. For example, a "?" changes to "%3F". I couldn't find an Acrobat forum, so please let me know if this is more of an Acrobat problem and I need to list it there. Thanks.
This is a correct behavour as not every browser can work with extended characters.
Did you use the hyperlink panel to create these hyperlinks? You should do so.
Whether it's correct behavior or not, the links aren't working.
I set up the hyperlinks the same way I've done for over a decade: using the Hyperlinks panel. One thing that has changed since I set up hyperlinks in this document is that I discontinued Creative Cloud because the clients all used CS6 and I wasn't using CC. When I had CC I would get updates every now and then and would update InDesign CS6 from that update window. When I cancelled CC I was told the updates to CS6 through CC would all be cancelled and I'd have to update them again using another method. That's all I can think of that's changed. There are 6 other Hyperlinks in the same document that I set up last week and they all work fine. Why would my changing a few of them to new urls suddenly not work properly?
