I created an extension for Photoshop CC and built a self-signed zxp package. The package installs fine with Adobe Extension manager.
Even though AEM reports the extension as active, it does not show up in Photoshop.
It is possible that there is a problem with the build (maybe not all required files are included). Is there a way to debug a signed package?
I raised the logging level as described in the CEP 6.1 HTML Extension Cookbook, but that didn't do anything. There was one log file created for my extension but it remained empty.
I am using the ZXPSignCmd to sign the package.
When I unpack the signed package (rename back to .zip and unpack) and copy the unpacked folder into ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions/ then the extension works as expected.
After I updated Photoshop to the newest version it didn't appear anymore in Extension manager. After some Google research I found out that Extension manager had been abandoned. So I uploaded the extension to the Adobe Cloud.
From there it wouldn't install at first, but after uninstalling Extension manager, uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop and a reboot, the plugin appeared.
