Hi Tanuj, I know about this problem that I had in the past. This tiime I dont get any error message, just double click and nothing happens at all (PS CC wors fine i.e.)
I guess it is a differnt problem
Could you please check Task Manager, and see if there is any process for Lightroom.exe
If there is any process, please select it and end the process.
Restart the computer once, and then try to launch Lightroom.
I'm at work now, not on the home notebook, but I already checked the Task Manager and this is what happens:
In the task manager there are no LR.exe running.
With the Task Manager opened, once I double click on the LR icon, the process appears in TM for a couple of seconds, then disappears and nothing more happens.
I usually turn off the notebook when not in use but this happens everytime I try, even though the NB is just turned on.
Once you double click on Lightroom , please check the Event Viewer once.
And see for the Error Log, and let me know the Faulty Module Path.

Looks like you're right Tanuj... even if I don't get a real error message as usually happens for MSVCR120.dll, the error log reports just this one. It is also unusual that PS works.. it generally affects both PS and LR at the same time.
Ok I ran the "fix" for C++ and it's fine now..thank you Tanuj
You must replace the MSVCR120.dll, in the C: \ Program Files \ Adobe \ Adobe Lightroom \ MSVCR120.dll, manually.
This installation is not updated Visual C ++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4.
You are Welcome, Glad to help.
What do you mean Marpj? Should I find another file as you mentioned for replacing? where do I find it?
You need not replace the file, Application should work fine.
Ok Tanuj, thanks.
