If that does not help, go to help menu > system info and make sure it says the version CC2015.1 or higher and share the screenshot.

Also, go ahead and reinstall the program once and you would not loose your work by reinstallation ad the Lightroom Catalog (Library) would still remain intact.

Cause is that CC2015.4 is not compatibel with Mac 10.8 so, you either need to upgrade your operating system or roll back to previous update of Lightroom.
