I get this error: This PDF document contains forms. The filling of form fields is not supported
I created a document in Indesign. I was in the Interactive for PDF Mode. I created some buttons to create some popup text boxes for the PDF. When I export and open it in Adobe Acrobrat Pro, the interactive component works just fine. Our webmaster wanted to test it, so it was uploaded to our site and we ended up getting the attached response.
"This PDF document contains forms. The filling of form fields is not supported"
So the interative part doesn't work this way.
Any suggestions on how to quick fix or how to go about making this process easier?
Creating PDF files with forms or interactivity (e.g., buttons) basically requires that the file be viewed and/or filled out in Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader.
Expecting that it can be viewed and/or filled on a web page or using whatever PDF reader a viewer may be using is a crap shoot.
