Installing mac LR6 on a Mac case sensitive drive. Can I install on a case insensitive sparsebundle instead?

I just bought LR6 and tried to install it on my Mac case sensitive boot volume. It failed. I see that this has been a problem since 2009. I don't want to get involved in the finger pointing war between Apple and Adobe, so I'll just ask this:

Can I install it the application on a case-insensitive SparseBundle, leaving everything else on my Mac running the way it has been for a long time? I've seen a couple posts in my searches through the net asking this, but never any answers to the posts.

      Thanks!
