OK, not sure if this has been asked before but I'm completely new to After Effects and have no idea what to search let alone where to start in order to find what I want to do. So I'm creating very simplistic videos for my Soundcloud mixes, and currently have a simple Audio Waveform in my video and the name of my mix.
I created the text for my logo in Photoshop, using small portion of a big image as the clipping mask to create a subtle texture. What I want to do (or hope to do) is have this image slowly pan across so that the colour/texture of the text slowly changes as the video plays. I know there's probably an easy way to do this inside After Effects but as of now I have no clue.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Sure. Basic position animation.
But how do I create that within After Effects? Can you even create clipping masks over text? Or is that only something that Photoshop can do?
