I am running Windows 10 and printing to a Canon Pixma Pro 100 and printing on Canon Pro Luster Paper. I am using an Asus PA279Q factory calibrated monitor capable of displaying 99% Adobe RGB. When I select a color management profile in the Lightroom print module that matches the paper I am using the resulting prints are very red. This is noticeable both in the print and in the print preview. I should note that I turned of printer management of color in the printer driver as when turned on the results were even worse. The reason I am confused is that when I select the PA279Q profile as the color management profile in Lightroom the resulting prints are very close to what I am seeing on screen. Can anyone shed some light on this and is this the correct thing to do?
I don't believe you can rely on factory calibration. I'm using Windows 10 and the same Canon Pixma Pro-100. When I choose the paper profile my prints match very closely. I suspect there is a problem with the calibration. A lot of people recommend using hardware calibration devices.
Thanks Jim but I do use I1 display pro to profile my display. Same result either way.
