    Ray-traced 3D Transparent Shadow Catcher

I'm creating a 3D layout in After Effects for export to psd. I've created many objects using extruded shapes, so I'm pretty much stuck using the Ray Traced 3d renderer. My question is, how do I export a psd with a transparent background while keeping the cast shadows that fall on the background?

I've found several tutorials online, but they all make use of the layer Blending Modes feature, which is unavailable when working with Ray Traced 3D.
