    Please Help, Exit Tags for Google Double Click

    Serf

      Please help, I'm a total noob when it comes to this. I just had to learn edge animate, and campaign management and trafficking in Google DoubleClick because one of our team quit abruptly. I have successfully finished the creative (HTML 5 Banner) and I am trying to import it into DoubleClick when I get this error:

      • You must include at least one click tag or select the DoubleClick environment in Google Web Designer and an exit event in your HTML file in order to set a click-through URL for your creative. Reach out to the creative developer to resolve this issue.9005

      I contacted Google, and their support team told me this:

      Using the screen-cap you shared as reference, it seems that the HTML5 Creative you're trying to upload does not have the ClickTag coded properly.

      ClickTags define click-through URLs for each exit on your Flash in-page, HTML5 banner, and enhanced banner creative. An exit is any area that can be clicked that directs the browser to a landing page. Each click tag defines the click-through URL for a different exit.

      Below I'm sharing an example of how the ClickTag needs to be inserted in the HTML File:

      <html>

          <head>

              <meta name="ad.size" content="width=300,height=250">

                  <script type="text/javascript">

                  var clickTag = "http://www.google.com";

                  </script>
          </head>
      [The rest of your creative code goes here.]

      </html>

      Make sure your creative uses the click tag variable as the click-through URL:

      <a href="javascript:window.open(window.clickTag)">
          <img src="images/dclk.png" border=0>
      </a>

      This is the output from the published HTML of my creative:

      <!DOCTYPE html>

      <html>

      <head>

        <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"/>

        <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=Edge"/>

        <title>TWResort_Adara2016_7SuiteNights_Spring_160x600</title>

      <!--Adobe Edge Runtime-->

          <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=Edge">

          <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8" src="http://animate.adobe.com/runtime/5.0.1/edge.5.0.1.min.js"></script>

          <style>

              .edgeLoad-EDGE-424516276 { visibility:hidden; }

          </style>

      <script>

         AdobeEdge.loadComposition('TWResort_Adara2016_7SuiteNights_Spring_160x600', 'EDGE-424516276', {

          scaleToFit: "none",

          centerStage: "none",

          minW: "0",

          maxW: "undefined",

          width: "160px",

          height: "600px"

      }, {"dom":{}}, {"dom":{}});

      </script>

      <!--Adobe Edge Runtime End-->

      </head>

      <body style="margin:0;padding:0;">

        <div id="Stage" class="EDGE-424516276">

        </div>

      </body>

      </html>

      I am using Edge Animate CC 2014.1.1

      Thank you for any assistance!
