Ok... so that software have to be really archaic if that is all that you can work with. You can forgot about Cinepak and Microsoft Video 1 - both are lossy, old and low quality codecs. IYUV codec is not ideal and also quite old compressor but it is still ok,and it is more or less lossless so will give you much better quality than cinepak or MV1 and smaller file size than Full Frame.
So ... if you can't instal and use anything else (f.eg. lagarith) try to use IYUV codec - it should work ok for you ... if not - use uncopressed.
So let's see.... you're probably running some version of Creative Cloud software. For about the same cost as renting software for a month, you can get up-to-date screen capture software and avoid this entire issue.
Sometimes companies can be penny-wise, but pound-foolish. Or in this case, pound-wise and penny-foolish.
Thanks for the response, I'll probably record uncompressed and encode to an image sequence. In this case it's more of a matter of red tape, red tape, red tape with regards to software!
