You will not be able to capture video from VHS, hard drive or a DVD from that device in Premiere Elements, if that's what you're trying to do.
If you're able to capture your video using Live MovieMaker, you may be able to edit that captured video in Premiere Elements.
But that depends. What is the source of your video? That JVC plays VHS, DVDs and records TV onto a hard drive. What exactly are you trying to capture and edit?
Thank Steve. But JVC SR-DVM70 is a DV player , that can record on hard drive and /or with DVD Output. But it has also FireWire output for DV . (Located in the very right down corner) So it should be visibile to Premiere. The wish is to capture inside Premiere.
Of course as you said, last but not least, I can import video trough Moviemaker, because it is able to see the DV input. ....but....I have just bought this program. It's brand new. I wonder....
Adobe removed the DV capture feature from Premiere Elements a few generations back, Wandomedi.
But if you can connect miniDV to your computer via FireWire, you can still capture the video and edit it in Premiere Elements.
In that case, rather than MovieMaker, I'd recommend you use the free download Win DV. This program doesn't control your tape player manually, but it does capture beautifully from a minDV player. And best of all, the video it captures is DV-AVI, the easiest format to edit in Premiere Elements!
Thanks a lot Steve. I was so excited to buy Premier Elements that I did not realize DV capture was not supported. !
However, no problem I will try to use the software you suggested to capture in DV-AVI.
And, Steve. Can you recommend program for capturing DV video for Mac OS? Thanx.

iMovie will work, if you have that. Otherwise another product I recommend in my book on Amazon is Lifeflix, available for $9 in the App Store. It's a dedicated DV capture app with some very nice features. (They also have a 'free' version, but it's so limited I wouldn't recommend it.)
Thanx a lot! It's work!
