I wonder if you may be experience the same issue I am. The same thing happens to me, however, rather than force quitting Lightroom, I let it sit for about 5 minutes and then everything seems to work. Are you using 2015.4? If so, you might try rolling back to 2015.3, which is what I did sine Adobe support was unable to solve my problem. You might also try to create another user account and open Lightroom. The problem went away then and that was the point at which Adobe support said it was an OS X issue and not an Adobe issue.
Yes, I think it's the same issue. I didn't force quit, but let it sit for 5 minutes and then it worked. So are you saying I should install an earlier version of LR CC? If it's an OS X issue, then should I even bother calling Adobe? Thanks of your help btw.
Thank you SO much! Will try that tomorrow and let you know. Cheers!
I use MAC- Processor:3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, Memory:4GB, Graphics: ATI Radeon HD4670 256MB.
I recently upgraded to PS CC(Creative Cloud) & LR CC, I have had issues from the beginning with the software crashing, beach ball continually thinking about it, and my entire system slowing down while in the process of trying to open or work within either of these softwares.
I have used both products for severals years with no issues.
1- I have been in contact with Adobe support and they basically said its because I hadn't updated software, however these issues still continued even after this being completed.
2- They are now saying its because my VRAM is insufficient and doesn't met the basic requirements for both softwares (according to spec should be)
- 1 GB of Video RAM (VRAM). 2 GB of dedicated VRAM is suggested for large, high-resolution monitors, such as 4K- and 5K-resolution monitors.
I do have and good understanding of things in general but no technical guru.
Would appreciate any feedback or if others have experienced same issues with PS & LR CC and hardware capacity etc.
WHY should we go back to previous versions when you pay for a software that should work updates and all
I have this problem and I just updated today. I'm thinking my catalogue is too big it has around 7,000 photos. But my last catalogue had about ten thousand so i don't know. I also have low storage another possible explanation, but I'm hoping waiting five minutes
I have yet to figure this out either. It's causing a delay in editing. I didn't have this problem until the update. Have you found a solution?
My problem is as yours and it didn't start until after the update.
I have had nothing but problems since installing LR with CC on my iMac. Why doesn't Adobe back up their service? they are so hard to contact and chat too, to sort problems out. Apple support have been amazing but the issues are with Adobe and I'd love to have it sorted out as its my job to work on my computer. Come on Adobe I've paid good money to use your products but the service is not good!!!
