I have an issue with my InDesign, twice a day I face a error massage during using InDesign , i am accessing a file for InDesign from server shared folder and during working error displays that i lost the connectivity with particular shared drive which contains the InDesign file. Even all other drives are connected during that time and there is no connectivity issue from end user and also from server side. its only happening with InDesign files.
Loss of connectivity for InDesign is a known problem. I don't beleive there is a sure-fire solution.
if its a known problem with InDesign then how can we satisfy our employees.
I believe SMB may be more reliable than AFP (I'm not certain of this, though).
Adobe's official position is that working across networks is not supported for InDesign. The best advice I can offer is to not leave InDesign open when leaving the computer.
