Could you please let me know the version of Lightroom installed on your computer ?
Also which operating system are you working on , Windows or MAC ?
Could you please explain a bit more about the issue.
I believe it's the newest version of Lightroom and I'm using a Windows Laptop more about the issues is I connect my camera with the provided USB to the laptop then it says it's connected I go to file on Lightroom press on Import photos and video says my camera is connected and starts downloading my photo but once the little green light goes off on my camera showing that they've downloaded my pictures won't load the little 0 photos / 0 Bytes just keeps circling and when I press on it it says it's searching for files. Ive tried everything to fix it the photos do download onto my laptop but not onto the software hopefully this makes some sense
- Go to Lightroom > Preferences.
- Also please Go to the Preferences > Performance Tab, and uncheck "Use Graphics Processor "
- Restart Lightroom and see if it works.
Also please make sure to follow the correct procedure for importing images in Lightroom : How to transfer photos from a hard drive folder to Photoshop Lightroom
Hello again so I've done what you said to do I've unchecked Use Graphic Prossesor and pressed restart Lightroom then went in to try to import my photos my camera connected still the photos are not loading in. The little circle item just keeps circling searching for my files.
Using Windows Explorer, does the OS see the camera? Can you browse the files using Explorer?
Ultimately, you will be much happier using a card reader. Card readers require no special drivers, are far less error prone, transfer the files much quicker, and do not drain the camera batteries.
I actually figured it out and took your advice I actually have a SD card reader in my laptop didn't realize until a few weeks ago it had one and was a bit skeptical. I just put it in now and all my photos have loaded in thanks for the help !
