Unlink audio from video and use the Time Stretch tool on the audio.
Thanks for replying, but I'm a little confused
How do you use the time stretch tool to speed up the sound track. The video was sped up to 3x its normal speed.
It seems like the time stretch tool will only work to lengthen the audio track. Is there a way to use it to speed it up to match the video action dialog??
Ann is right. If you unlink the audio and video (by selecting the option after right-clicking on a clip on your timeline) and then select and right-click the audio track only, you'll find the option to to apply Time Stretch under the Clip sub-menu.
You can then slow or speed up the audio either by setting the speed or duration of the clip. This screen includes the option to Maintain Audio Pitch (which it can only do to a certain extent).
Time Remapping does not affect audio. Time Stretch is the only way to change the playback speed of the audio.
