I've seen some threads that talk about the problem I'm dealing with - but not exactly.
I've been trying to print a booklet I've created in InDesign. In the past, I could print to PDF. Then something changed and the only way I could print was to use a Postscript file that I would put through Distiller to be able to view and print the file. Now, that isn't working. I've tried updating the program and repairing the instillation.
Today, I started getting the following error:
%%[ ProductName: Distiller ]%%
%%[ Error: ioerror; OffendingCommand: readstring ]%%
(› PoÈsKÖn µÐY5Âê2¢ ÷Fmø-êíöYJ
øR½=Ö¤%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%
Everything I've read online about this problem directs you to use the Export... command. I did that, and it worked - sort of. It doesn't put the pages in print order. I may not be checking the right boxes. I'm self-taught on this program, and so far (3 years) have been successful in creating the documents, etc. that I need. I'm so frustrated with this problem and the lack of truly helpful information. Can someone help me figure this out?
Export the PDF normally and use the booklet feature in Acrobat.
Where can I find the booklet feature in Acrobat? I have spent hours looking for something like that – to no avail.
