There has been many threads about his here. EA is no more developed at this time but will remain part of the cloud subscription and can be used. this forum is active and we still answer questions from users.
Looks just like it has been killed . I have just updated to new Flash, now named "Animate".
I did use Flash heavily in past, but lets be honest - this software is crap, especially for animation.
And so it is now, keyframing is still the same - useless for me. Time to move to Hype with hope,
Adobe wont buy it and kill it in near future. Sad .
BTW It is the same story as they did with edge reflow for responsive prototyping.
Good start and quick death soon after.
I have to say this is bad news for me, I use Edge Animate allot for banners. I found it really easy to use. It was buggy as hell but it got the job done.
Reminded me of After Effects so the learning curb was easy. I guess this mean I will need to go back to Flash/Animate CC. I really loved the easing in Edge, it was smooth. God what a bummer.
This is it ! Working in Edge Animate is a lot like working in After Effects. Working in Flash is nothing like any of those
If You are on Mac , consider using Tumult Hype. I tested it for an hour or so, last evening. I like it - I think it will take me
few weeks to figure out how things work.
You can still use it. If there is a major bug with a browser update, I believe it will be corrected. It is in maintenance mode and will stay in the subscription.
Someone else also recommend it Tumult Hype. I'll have to look into this option thanks!
For now perhaps but they will eventually stop supporting it and it will eventually fail as a result of changing standards.
