We have an interactive PDF with a 'submit' button that has a submit form action applied to it with an email address (mailto:email address). When exporting the file, the submit button will show up, but when clicked, nothing happens. We've tried Acrobat and Acrobat Pro (both on Mac) to no avail. Any advice is appreciated.
On a side note, we're also having issues with the button states on that same form. The form is reverting back to default appearances and the checkmark when published even though we've changed the state appearances in InDesign prior to export.
We're using InDesign CC 2015.2 FWIW.
Might want to try all button creation and form submission steps in Acrobat instead of InDesign.
So it's an issue on Adobe's end? Why have the option to do this in InDesign?
A Submit button can be created in Indesign and when clicked in Acrobat, prompt the user on how to send email. If that is not the case, then something else is causing issues.
As for checkmarks, appearance states are only are visible in Acrobat during the action of selecting the checkbox. Once selected, the check box style will be visible. In this situation, "appearance" and "style" are two different properties of the checkbox.
