    Problems with Templates

    fennman
      Hi all,

I am constructing my first website using MX. IT's been a great tool and I seem to learn a lot as I go along.

I constructed about 15 pages and then thought to myself that I should try to learn how to use the template feature.

I created a template and made one editable region for main body text and dropped the content from the 15 pages into 2 respective template styles.

The problem that I have now is that I can't alter anything else apart from the mainbodytext region. I have created a DHTML navigation bar and realised that I need to update links within the code. However, I can't get to the code.

Has anyone in here ever faced this problem (or better yet, overcome it).

As I said, this is my first website, so one minute I'm up and smiling and the next minute I'm threating the computer.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

      Many thanks in advance,
      Barry

This is how templates work. If you want to make changes to things that are
not editable on child pages, you would make them globally by editing the
          template page.

Have you read through the F1 Help on templates to get a better understanding
of how editable and non-editable regions work?
