Can you explain a bit more clearly how the data is stored and how you want to process it? It doesn't sound like a mail merge, but like you want to take individual pages from various files and then merge them into new files. If that's the case then it can be done, but it requires using a custom-made script.
Thanks for the Question try67. Variable data may be the correct term, although I am not sure.
The data is a simple table in excel, Sheet's are listed by a product code on the x coordinate, the quantities are variable. The Books/Distribution is listed on the y coordinate. One 1 pdf for each y that contains the variable x quantities.
The file name of the pdf corresponds to the product code in the table.
If you don't mind sharing some sample files I'll be happy to have a look and let you know if I think it's doable or not.
You can email it to me at try6767 at gmail.com.
@Try67 The information I have is private, but the problem is exactly as below.
The table in excel looks like this, except I have more locations, and 300 individual pieces.
I want to create, 1 pdf so that I can make fulfillment easy.
Location SA25643 SA2564 SA25645 SA25646 GG25643 GG25644
Location 1 8 9 7 5 0 9
Location 2 6 4 22 2 0 9
Location 3 5 3 0 0 0 4
Location 4 3 4 9 0 7 4
Location 5 2 6 0 0 2 1
| (Variable QTY)
Location 100 0 1 8 8 6 4
Then in a folder I have a sequence of pdf files
So you want to import the values from each column into a specific PDF file (matching the title of that column)?
I think it's doable, but it would require a custom-made script to be developed.
