    Finding templates in Template Browser

    bunkieboy

I'm learning how to print. I want to print

two images of the same picture on one

piece of paper. When I hit, as instructed,

      Template Browser, then Lightroom

      Templates, nothing shows up, no

      templates.

      Thank you,

      Al Marotta

You may have a corrupt install if you do not have the default templates.

          In my experience-

Most of the default LR templates are of little use! They are all designed for one size paper (A4??)

You would be better to create you own templates for the printing you want to do.

First go to [Page Setup] and in the Printer dialog set all the printer options- paper size, landscape portrait, etc.

then go to the LR panels and set "Layout Style"  and "Layout" for the result you want.

Try the Single Image/contact sheet option with-

          "Page Grid"  1 x column 2 x rows  (or 2 x columns 1x row) as a start.

When you have what you want- save as a template with a descriptive name.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. You've made me feel better!.

I have Lightroom five. I used 8.5X11 paper on my

            Canon Pixma printer.

1)All i want to do is print two five by sevens

on one sheet. Should setting this up with

a custom template be relatively easy?

            2)Is uninstalling a re-installing

a relatively easy matter in light room?

            Thank you,

            Al

              Set your own template! "Easy"

Do it once and save the template!! (Click the + on the Template Browser header)

              1. In the LR Print module open Page Setup. (buttons vary for Mac and PC systems)

              2. Define the 8.5x11 paper 'Portrait' in the Canon dialog that opens.

              3. In the "Layout Style" panel choose [Single Image/Contact Sheet]

              4. In the "Layout" panel set-

                   All Margins to minimum  (usually~0.11inch)

                   Page Grid      Rows=2 Columns =1

                   Cell Spacing  0.20

                   Cell Size  Height= 5.00in  Width= 7.00inch

              5. Below the image preview window- Set "Use:" = Selected Photos.

Select your images to print. (Selecting 4 will print 2 pages!)

              You will get this-

              ScreenShot393.jpg

You may need to also set- Zoom to fill and Rotate to fit- in the "Image Settings" panel (depending on the image cropping ratios)

Re-installing can be easy depending of the version you are using (standalone, Creative Cloud?) but it may not be necessary if you can create your own templates!!
