hmm, maybe try to reinstall it?
I have already downloaded everthing twice, installed/rebooted etc.
Looks like AIR is a non event to me. I feel the call of the darkside...expression studio.... LOL
ADL by defaut ueses the AIR Runtime comes with the SDK. You don't need to install AIR Runtime to use ADL and ADL doesn't use the installed Runtime unless you ask ADL to use it specifically.
Inside the SKD folder, there should be a runtimes/air/win/Adobe AIR Versions/1.0/ directory.
I am having this problem too. I provide the runtimes/air/win/Adobe AIR/Versions/1.0/ path on the commandline with -runtime, but still it just gives the same error message.
EDIT: Resolved -- I had unpacked the sdk zip inside cygwin. Probably the DLL had the wrong permissions set or was extracted with linux line-endings. Extracting normally inside windows fixed things. Interestingly, adl reports itself unable to find the runtime even if it finds the runtime but cannot run it.
Thanks for letting us know. This info. will be helpful to other people.
yeah, often permissions and/or line endings get broken if you unzip a Windows zip file using Cygwin. You should always use a Windows zip tool to unzip files on Windows, unless they are Linux archives.
