I recently purchased photoshop and lightroom CC subscription.
Lightroom installed yesterday automatically after installing the creative cloud app.
On first starting Lightroom I encountered numerous pop-up errors with lightroom being unable to create specific folders and therefore LR would not launch.
The errors related to various folders it needed to create in the following path /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/
Example folders included 'Develop Presets', 'Export Presets' etc.
As each error occurred, I manually created the folders with the name of the error and then the program displayed the next folder error.
LR eventually eventually started after I created about 6 folders, mostly with the name 'preset' after it.
I am about to install photoshop and I don't want to proceed with installs if a reinstallation is required.
Is this a known issue?

Yes, its a know issue but it happens due to the less permissions on your mac in Library folders.
follow the below location and provide the complete read & write access to the folders.
