    protected files

    Level 7
      Here's one I've never seen...

I have an unprotected Director project in a folder called SOURCE. Within
that folder I have a stub prjector and a folder called main. Within main is
main.dir and a casts folder that contains many casts. I copied the complete
SOURCE folder and reanamed it as LOCKED. Then I protected main.dir and the
cast files within the LOCKED folder structure.

When I launch the .exe file within the LOCKED folder, it's opening the
main.dir file that's nested in the SOURCE folder.

Any idea why this is happening? The stub goes to (the moviePath &
      "main\main"

I'm using a PC with XP in D9

          Just to further clarify

          folder 1

          source\main\main.dir
          source\main\casts\<many .cst files>

          folder 2

          locked\projector.exe
          locked\main\main.dxr
          locked\main\casts\<main .cxt files>

launching the projector in folder 2 opens main.dir in folder 1

          There are no searchpaths defined.

Instead of just protecing main.dir each time I made a change to it, I
protected all the cast files as well.

This seemed to correct the problem. It's bazaar. I don't understand this
            but I found a solution.

I'd still apprectiate any thoughts you might have on this.
