Could you please attach a screen shot of the Folder Panel of Lightroom .
Also are you not able to see the sub folder's or are the folders not showing only for the external drive images ?
Click on Library in the Menu Bar > Show Photos in Subfolders.
That file, DSC_2429, does not show in the Development module unless I select All Photos at the top. Should it not show as being available for edit by me selecting that folder in the tree on the left?
Why am I seeing pictures when I click on the All Photographs tab at the top, that do not show in the Tree on Drive G: ?
DSC_2429 is in the locaton shown, and shows in All Photos, but there is not "Tulsa..." folder shown in tree.
The pane on the left is a "pick one" pane. "All photos" is just that. "G drive" is a different option.
Lightroom is not a file browser. It only knows about drives and folders that you have imported photos from. If LR does not show all the photos that are on your hard drive, it is because you have not imported all the photos.
If LR is showing you a photo in "all photos" but not showing it in the folder you think it is in, go to "all photos", select the image, right-click "show in library folder". This will show you where LR thinks the photo is.
Thanks… I think that will work.
Thanks to all for responding. Way to go Joe... I think that will work.
