Could you please check and see if you have opened another Catalog in Lightroom,
Go to File > Open Recent > Catalog.
Please check and let me know
Right-click (control-click) on the Catalog tab or any other tab and choose Folders.
If I select a photo from All Photos (main Library/Catalog) from within one of the folders like "Feathers" that I was working on, then select to "show folder" that correct folder appears at the very bottom and I can see all of my keywords attached to that shot. But, I cannot see any of my folders under the Folder bar.
I have only one catalog and did not create (to my knowledge) another Catalog. I will check tonight as I'm away from home today. Thank you.
OK, I will try that again. I was trying all the "right clicks". Thank you.
By the way I'm using iMac so I'll try the Ctrl-click.
I verified I have only one catalog. Rebooted computer and can now see the Folders and the iMac HD bar. All the Folders on left side are now there but under a file tree such as User/name/picture/LightroomM. I really need to understand the Hide Parent folders so I can return to the same view where I was reorganizing the whole catalog since the import from Photos which automatically created terrific collections but left my catalog in shambles. I need to hide the user/name/picture/LightroomM for each line, then the year, then a 2 digit listing, then date just to get to the Folder name. LR will not let me hide that many levels yet I was clearly working that level when I selected to remove four empty folders (when the file tree vanished) instead of removing them one at a time. Thanks for any further suggestions.
