There are a ton of great tutorials out there. goggle "flex 3 php mysql" and have fun.
One that really got me off & running:
if you want, email me and i will send you a very simple "add user" flex-php-mysql sample code.
Thanks Billy ! Good stuff...
However, what I really need is info on encoding the text that is send between Flex, PHP and MySql. Since I`m writing a code library there will be many characters that probably cant be send or received as is. I`m also generally interested in this because I live in Norway and we have a couple of letters in our alphabet that doesnt sit well with programming languages and MySql.
I have been using FLEX+PHP+MySQL and communicating between Flex and PHP via AMFPHP (Action Message Format PHP). Data is transmitted between the two binary so it is very fast.
However, it took me a while to get them all working together.
Here is the best video tutorial on how to set it up in my oppinion: http://vectorspacestudios.com/FlexVision.html?videoID=2.
Also a written one: http://myflex.wordpress.com/2007/06/12/how-to-use-amfphp-19-beta-with-flex/.
To download the open-source files for AMFPHP visit amfphp.org, downloads section.
Thanks MASH !
I`ll look into it as soon as I can.
