Moved to Premiere Elements forum.
Would it be possible for you to recall the steps that you'd have performed in PRE before the problem starting coming? Also, is your machine connected to the internet?
You may try a machine reboot to get it to work. Please tell us if that works for you.
Procedure always has been: 1) Click Open PRE 14 icon. 2) Select video editor; 3) Choose either previously edited file, or a new project. 4) The "purple" window would show up with all the things loading. And then it would stop (freeze) at "loadingquicktimehost.pm". 5) After waiting 1-2 minutes, I'd open task manager and see that PRE was "not responding." 6). Then I'd click "end task", wait awhile and try to load again.
Last night I did a second restart (reboot) of my computer. Then I started (loaded) PRE 14 and it actually opened! I've closed it a couple of times and reopened it again over the past twelve hours. It continues loading/opening correctly.
BTW, I power-off my computer every night and power it back up in the morning.
Glad to know that its working fine now. . Please feel free to get back to us in case any other issue is seen.
My first time in forum.
Just bought Premiere Elements 2018. Organizer opens fines but Premiere Elements Video only opened once then after that - never.
It always starts to open - purplish screen with files loading fast - then closes, not to be seen!
I've tried going from "Create" and instant video, etc...same thing happens.
Mac Book Pro OS High Sierra 10.13.3
HELP - VERY FRUSTRATED
Can you try opening Premiere Elements directly from Finder rather than Organizer?
