Hi, everyone. I work for a large format printing company. I am running into issues when running a file through our preflight software that was exported out of InDesign as an Interactive PDF.
I do not have access to the native InDesign file otherwise I would just re-export as a print PDF. My question is: is there any way to omit the interactive content from a PDF in order to run it through my preflight software?
I've seen suggestions of flattening the file to omit this. Unfortunately I need to keep vector elements intact for color matching purposes. Please let me know if you have any suggestions or need any other information regarding this.
Thanks in advance!
You’ll get way more help in the Acrobat forum.
To elaborate on what Bob is saying, ask in the Printing and Prepress section of the Acrobat forums:
You probably need to use the Preflight panel in the Print Production pane and run a fixup to eliminate interactive elements (but because I don't do that, I can't tell you which one(s) to run.
Thanks! I wasn't aware that forum existed and didn't really know where to ask this question. I'll ask there.
