Did you read that you could do this? If so, I'm sorry to inform you that can no longer do it. Many years ago, AE could do this, but Adobe gave it up as a bad job -- it never worked well.
I'm afraid you'll have to come up with a Plan B if you want to pursue this.
AE doesn't work with 3D objects from other applications -- it can use a bundled plugin, C4D Lite, to create the illustion of 3D, but otherwise, you'll have to work in a 3D application for modeling, texturing and lighting.
No longer supported. You should export your Photoshop 3D object to an obj file and then bring it into a C4D lite project to use it in After Effects.
