I keep a copy of LR on a laptop and desktop, I keep my LR catalog and library on a external drive. I also sync with LR Mobile. When I exit from my desktop I get a message saying that x number of photos are still syncing. I don't get that message on my laptop. Syncing on my desktop will not start unless delete all my sync data. Doing that will just cause me to get the same message on my laptop. I kind of know why this is happening but I am not sure how to resolve it. I'd like to continue syncing via my laptop. Is there a way to tell LR on my desktop to ignore mobile syncing.
If the solution is to load LR from my external drive, will that cause a problem with Creative Cloud and updating software? I also have Photoshop on both computers.
Try hovering over the name plate on the desk top and click the dropdown icon. From the panel you can pause sync from the desktop.
That will work, thanks.
It's odd that pausing sync on my desktop also pauses sync on my laptop. The sync data appears to be stored locally on each computer rather than the catalog or some other settings found in the LR folder of my external drive.
