there's a very good chance that there's no color information in there. it might be totally blown out. You have 4 choices imho
1. possibility nothings there, minimize the brightness with curves color correction to a drab grey color.
2. try AE's highlight/shadow effect.
3. key out brightness, roto clone pixels with matte painting/motion tile using alternate frames or timewarp to repair missing pixels
4. try to recover pixels using the luma to repair chroma data. you would bring back the luma info with a track matte/garbage matte then use this template to draw back the luma into visible range.
then color correct the luma to match surrounding chroma color.
Unfortunately there is no magic pill that will cure this problem. The only reasonable solution I could suggest would be to carefully track and roto in mocha and use that tracking information and Roto to replace and distort to fit the frames were there are fewer problems with reflections by shifting time. If the shot is more than just a few seconds long it's going to be very time-consuming.
The problem is so easy to fix when you're shooting and so hard to fix later.
